هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على اتجاهات معلمي ومشرفي المواد الاجتماعية نحو أهمية مفاهيم التربية البيئية لطلاب المرحلة الابتدائية، وهل توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين اتجاهات عينة الدراسة تعزى لمتغيرات الدراسة (العمل، سنوات الخبرة، المؤهل العلمي). \\ ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي وذلك عن طريق تصميم أداة تكونت من (43) مفهوماً، موزعة على جانبين هما: المفاهيم البيئية الطبيعية والمفاهيم البيئية البشرية، حيث تم عرض أداة الدراسة على المعلمين والمشرفين المتخصصين في التربية الاجتماعية لتحديد اتجاهاتهم نحو أهمية مفاهيم التربية البيئية في المرحلة الابتدائية. \\ وقد استخدم في المعالجة الإحصائية التكرارات، والنسب المئوية، والمتوسطات الحسابية، والانحرافات المعيارية، ومعادلة بيرسون لمعرفة الاتساق الداخلي للأداة، ومعادلة ألفا كرونباخ لحساب ثبات الأداة وتحليل التباين، واختبار مان وتني واختبار كروسكال والس للمقارنة بين مجموعات مجتمع الدراسة المختلفة. \\ وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود أهمية لمفاهيم التربية البيئية خاصة في الجوانب الطبيعية، مما يدل على أهمية تضمينها في مقررات التربية الاجتماعية في المرحلة الابتدائية، كما نتج عن الدراسة أنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين معلمي ومشرفي المواد الاجتماعية نحو أهمية مفاهيم التربية البيئية في المرحلة الابتدائية. \\ وقد أوصت الدراسة بضرورة إعادة النظر في مناهج التربية الاجتماعية في المرحلة الابتدائية لتشمل مفاهيم التربية البيئية المهمة الواردة في هذه الدراسة، والتي تمس بشكل مباشر حياة الطالب السعودي، وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة إقامة دورات تدريبية تنشيطية لمعلمي المواد الاجتماعية للتدريب على كيفية استخلاص وتحليل المفاهيم البيئية المتوافرة في كتب المواد الاجتماعية وتقديمها بشكل ايجابي.
This study aims at identifying the attitudes of the instructors and supervisors of social studies towards the importance of including environmentaJ concepts in elementary education. It also attempts to find out the possible statistical differences that may be found in the samples under investigation. \\ To achieve these goals, tht descriptive method is employed via designing a tool consisting of 4 r concepts. These concepts are classified into two types: natural environmental concepts on one side and human environmental concepts on the other. \\ The tool of the study has been shown to specialized instructors and supervisors so as to identify their attitudes towards the impo, tance of including environmental educational concepts in the elementary stage. \\ Statistical frequencies, percentages, arithmetic averages, standard variations, and Pearson Equation are employed for checking the internal consistency of the tool. Also, the Cronbach's alpha Equation is used for accounting the stability of the tool and analyzing the possible differences. In addition, Mann- Whitney Test is employed for comparing and contrasting the groups under investigation. \\ The results of the study show a deep interest in the concepts of environmental education especially in the natural side. This indicates a dire need for including these concepts in the social courses assigned for elementary pupils. The results also show that there are no statistical differences in the attitudes of the instructors and the supervisor of social studies towards the importance of including the concepts of environmental education in the elementary stage. \\ Finally, the study recommends the necessity of reconsidering the courses of the social subjects assigned for elementary pupils so as to include some of the environmental concepts recommended in this study; these concepts directly relate to Saudi pupils' lives. The study also recommends some training courses that help instructors of social studies summarize, analyze and positively present the environmental concepts included in the courses of social studies.
