|a تتناول هذه الورقة تطور آليات العمل في مجال قياسات الرأي العام، حيث تعرض تحول عملية جمع بيانات استطلاعات الرأي من خلال النظام الورقي إلى النظام الإلكتروني، بدءا بسحب العينات، مرورا بتصميم استمارة الاستطلاع إلكترونيا، ثم جمع البيانات وتنفيذ الاستطلاع من خلال أنظمة التشغيل الحديثة والمتطورة لاستطلاعات الرأي بمساعدة الكمبيوتر، وأخيرا استخراج النتائج النهائية، كما أوضحنا مقارنة هذه النظم الإلكترونية بالطرق التقليدية لاستطلاعات الرأي العام.
|b Computer assisted data collection methods are increasingly replacing paper-and-pen methods for survey data collection. Many professional research organizations, commercial, government and academic, arc adopting these new methods. Computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) is most prevalent and computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) is rapidly gaining in popularity. In addition, new forms of computerized data collection, for instance automatic speech recognition, and surveys through the internet are emerging. In this paper, we review the empirical literature on this topic. Next, we present the influence computer assisted data collection methods on the quality of the data.
