يهدف هذا البحث إلى تعرف الممارسات المهنية لإعداد وتنمية أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية، وذلك باستخدام المنهج الوصفي من خلال أسلوب المسح الشامل واستخدام الاستبانة، وقد توصل البحث إلى النتائج الآتية: 1. إن درجة موافقة أفراد عينة الدراسة على بعد الممارسات السائدة بالجامعة لإعداد وتنمية أعضاء هيئة التدريس كنت عالية بدرجه (موافق). 2. إن درجة موافقة أفراد عينة الدراسة على بعد الممارسات السائدة اللاحقة لتنمية أعضاء هيئة التدريس كانت عالية أيضاً. 3. إن درجة موافقة أفراد عينة الدراسة على بعد الممارسات السائدة للإعداد والتنمية المهنية بالتوازي مع الدراسة لدرجتي الماجستير والدكتوراه كنت عالية جدا. 4. وجدت فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابة عينة الدراسة نحو الممارسات المهنية لإعداد وتنمية أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية حسب متغير الجنس ولصالح الذكور.
The aim of this research is to identify the trends of the faculty members at the Social Sciences Faculty about the preparation and development of the faculty members of Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, by using a reliable questionnaire, that was distributed according to the comprehensive survey method. Based on the preliminary statistical analysis of the data, a number of results were obtained and the following are the most important results: 1. The degree on the approval of the study sample on the University practices for the preparation and development of faculty members was a high degree (Yes), and the highest phrase on this dimension was: "The development and innovation on the University functions to achieve the transformation in the context of knowledge societies require more investment in the development of faculty members", followed by the phrase: "The obvious interest of the senior management of the University in increasing the support for the preparation and development of the faculty members". 2. The degree on the approval of the study sample on the used patterns in the preparation and development of the faculty members was also high, and the highest phrase was: "The lack of a sufficient demand on the part of faculty members on the preparation and professional development programs, mainly due to the lack of mandatory rules for them, followed by the phrase: "Where there is no specific plan for what should be studied and familiarity with the basic knowledge and skills for the preparation and professional development for faculty members, the preparation and the development process completion for the faculty member will take a lot of time". 3. The degree on the approval of the study sample on the used patterns on the preparation and development of the faculty members, in parallel with the study itself, was very high, and the highest phrase was: "In the framework of this method advantage can be taken of the scholarship of good practices and potential outstanding used at global universities", followed by the phrase: "The advantage of this method is the extreme benefits of the time available for scholarship in the integrated preparation: scientifically, educationally and professionally. 4. There were statistically significant differences between the study sample responses by gender variable in favor of males, while the study found no statistically significant differences for the other study variables.
