The aim of the research is to clarify the roles that were played by the assistant graduate students in the institutions of the higher education and the challenges which they face during their work. The descriptive analytical and documentary approach was used to clarify first the role of the assistant graduate students in the institutions of the higher education. It is presented in teaching, dealing with the students, conducting the scientific research and lab work, as well as working in the university library, the supervision of the field training students, the maintenance of the computer systems, counseling in the field of writing, to carry out the administrative work, in addition to working in the student affairs sector and working in the university housing. Secondly, the challenges that were faced by the assistant graduate students during their work in the institutions of the higher education presented in working with the professors, dealing with the undergraduate students, the competition between the assistant graduate students, the university administration and the work pressure. Third, the appropriate means which contribute to the development of the level of performance of the assistant graduate students. It codifies the selection mechanism, the professional development, the guidance and evaluation, financial privileges and reducing the work pressures . Fourthly, the reality of the participation of the graduate students working in the institutions of the higher education in the State of Kuwait, fifth the proposed vision for providing the employment opportunities for the postgraduate students in the higher education institutions in the State of Kuwait. The research recommended that the faculty members should be encouraged to use the postgraduate students to work with them by attending lectures, supervising the student work and monitoring the tests, encourage the graduate students to work at the university and assigning an award to the graduate student which is the ideal employee. The first undergraduate students should also be aware of the opportunity to work for the postgraduate students at their university to encourage them to pursue the graduate studies.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
