The aim of this research paper is to investigate the effect of a self-efficacy-based program on reducing EFL communication apprehension among EFL majors. The design of this study is pre-post, experimental-control group. The sample of the present study included third year English Department students at the Faculty of Education, Benha University (N=62). They were assigned into two groups: the experimental group (N=31) and the control group (N=31). The experimental group students were taught using the self-efficacy based program, while the control group students did not receive any training. The instruments of the present study include the Personal Report of Communication Apprehension-24 (PRCA-24) developed by McCroskey & Richmond (1982). The PRCA-24 was applied on the study sample before and after implementing the program. Results of the study revealed that the EFL communication apprehension of the experimental group students was reduced as a result of participating in the program than those of the control group; this reveals that the suggested self-efficacy based program was effective in reducing the EFL communication apprehension among EFL majors.
