The present study attempted to examine the effect of using Computer Assisted Program on developing primary third graders' writing skills. The sample of the study comprised thirty-third year primary stage enrolled in Bani Hamad primary school, Minia governorate. The study adopted the quasi-experimental design as the thirty participants were randomly assigned to one group. To gain insight into the process of developing writing skills, subjects of the treatment group were involved in a Computer Assisted Program to develop their writing skills. The program was conducted during the first term of the academic year 2010- 2011, three sessions a week. Data was gathered using quantitative tools. Findings indicated that the pupils exposed to Computer Assisted Program showed significantly higher levels in their writing skills and vocabulary acquisition. They also showed that pupils moved from the emergent stage of writing to the exceptional or conventional one. There was a significantly higher level in pupils' writing samples in the area of content and ideas, organization, and form, style, and convention. The improvement in pupils' writing suggested that Computer Assisted Program was an effective way for developing primary third graders' writing skills.
