|b The study aims to identify the most used social networks by the professors of the College of Science in Mustansiryah University and their scientific uses. The study used the Case study research method, the study community was 175 professors, and the sample was 25 % percent of them. The study reached several conclusions, including that the teaching staff category that have the title ((Lecturer)) is the highest categories used for social networking sites, with a rate of 24%, and that the benefits of the use of social networking sites for the study community are for the educational benefits and 26%. It came with a number of recommendations, including the quest to develop the capacity of teachers and their abilities to communicate within the social networking for the teaching and scientific research and academic purpose. And the need to provide training sessions and workshops with the scientific support of the scientific departments in order to acquire expertise on how to deal with digital environments and using it for the purposes of education and scientific research.

|a يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي الأكثر استخدامًا في المجالات العلمية من قبل أساتذة كلية العلوم لأغراض رفد العملية التعليمية. تم استخدام منهج دراسة الحالة وبلغ مجتمع البحث المتكون من أساتذة كلية العلوم 175 أستاذ وقد أخذ عينة طبقية تناسبية بنسبة 25% منهم. توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج منها إن فئة التدريسيين من حملة لقب (مدرس) هي أعلى الفئات استخدامًا لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي وبنسبة بلغت 24%، وأن الفوائد من استخدام مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي لمجتمع البحث هي الفائدة التعليمية وبنسبة 26%. كما جاءت بعدد من التوصيات ومنها السعي لتنمية قدرة الأساتذة وإمكانياتهم على التواصل ضمن مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي بكل الفئات التدريسية وتوجيهها للأغراض العلمية والأكاديمية، وضرورة توفير الدورات والورش التدريبية العلمية بدعم من الأقسام العلمية بهدف اكتسابهم الخبرات لكيفية التعامل مع البيئات الرقمية وتسخيرها لغايات التعليم والبحث العلمي
