|a يشهد العالم تحولات وتغيرات جادة وجذرية متسارعة، حيث يشهد ثورة وصراعاً معرفياً متفجراً، تواجه منظومة التعليم في مصر العديد من التحديات الناجمة عن إفرازات النظام العالمي الجديد " العولمة " والذي ينبئ بأن المستقبل القريب سيصبح أكثر تعقيداً من عالم اليوم، وفي ظل هذا الانفجار المعرفي أصبح التعليم الجامعي يمثل أهمية كبيرة على صعيد تقدم المجتمعات ونموها. ويستهدف البحث الحالي التعرف واقع نظام التعليم الجامعي المفتوح في مصر. دراسة وتحليل محاور وأبعاد وملامح الصيغ العالمية للتعليم المفتوح لبعض الدول الأجنبية المتقدمة في هذا الصدد تعرف الإجراءات والآليات المقترحة للاستفادة من هذه الصيغ في تطوير نظام التعليم الجامعي المفتوح في ضوء التحليل المقارن. وتنبع أهمية البحث من تناوله لقضية هامة من قضايا التعليم الجامعي في مصر ألا وهي قضية تطوير التعليم المفتوح في ضوء خبرات بعض الدول المتقدمة.
