المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تعرف أثر تصميم بيئة تعليمية - من خلال المناقشات الإلكترونية غير المتزامنة - على تنمية المعارف البيئية بمستوياتها التقريرية والإجرائية وما وراء المعرفة لدى طلبة كلية التربية بجامعة الكويت، بالإضافة إلى استكشاف أصالة منشورات الطلبة عند مناقشة بعض الموضوعات البيئية. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (26) من الطالبات المسجلات في مقرر التربية البيئية بجامعة الكويت، وقد شارك جميع أفراد عينة الدراسة في مناقشة ستة موضوعات بيئية جدلية في لوحة المناقشة الإلكترونية، وفق بروتوكول متفق عليه سلفا معهن. وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لتحليل محتوى منشورات الطلبة. وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى فعالية لوحة المناقشات الإلكترونية في توفير فرص للطلبة للتفكير في أفكارهن، وأفكار زملائهن المكتوبة حول القضايا البيئية في المستويات المعرفية.

The current study aimed to identify the effect of designing a learning environment - through asynchronous electronic discussions - on the development of environmental knowledge at the normative and procedural levels among the students of the Department of Education at Kuwait University. This study also aims to explore the originality of the student publications when discussing some of the environmental issues. The study sample consisted of (26) female students enrolled in the environmental education course at Kuwait University. All the members of the study sample participated in the discussion of six controversial environmental topics in the electronic discussion panel according to a protocol which they agreed upon in advance. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to analyse the content of student publications. The results of the study reached the effectiveness of the panel of the electronic discussions in providing opportunities to the students to look into their own ideas, the ideas of their colleagues written about the environmental issues at cognitive levels.
