يبين هذا البحث نشأة الجامعة الإسلامية فقد أنشئت عام 1398 هـ - 1978 م لتقديم خدمات للمجتمع وخاصة شريحة الطلبة الجامعيين، وهم يحتاجون إلى جهة ترعى شئونهم وتحل مشكلاتهم المادية والمعنوية، فأنشأت عمادة شئون الطلبة؛ لتقديم هذه الخدمات، وأوضحت فيه نشأة عمادة شئون الطلبة والأقسام والوحدات التابعة لها، وما تقدمه من خدمات. فقد أنشأت العمادة دائرة البحث الاجتماعي، وصندوق الطالب التي يشرف على المنح الداخلية والخارجية والقروض؛ لتقديم المساعدات المالية للطلبة وتتبع معايير دقيقة لتحقيق العدالة بين الطلبة، وتخفيف الضائقة المالية نتيجة الحصار الإسرائيلي على غزة. كما أنشأت وحدة الأنشطة الطلابية اللامنهجية والتي تقوم بتقديم سلسلة برامج وفعاليات مختلفة (تدريبية، علمية، إرشادية، ثقافية، ترويحية) هدفها تنمية شخصية الطالب الجامعي في إطار التنمية البشرية الشاملة، وأنشأت العمادة نادي القادة والمبدعين من طلاب الجامعة للارتقاء بالمبدعين وإبداعاتهم ومهاراتهم وقدراتهم عن طريق برامج خاصة. ومن أجل تنمية المهارات الخاصة ببعض الرياضات أبدت الجامعة اهتماما بالغا ببعض الرياضات الجماعية والفردية فكونت الفرق الرياضية المختلفة واهتمت أيضأ بكمال الأجسام، وألعاب القوى وغيرها. وأما وحدة القضايا الطلابية فهي وحدة تابعة لشئون الطلبة تختص بالنظر في جميع القضايا الطلابية سواء كانت أكاديمية أو سلوكية. وشجعت العمادة الطلبة على العمل التطوعي وهو ذو شقين فهو يعود بالنفع للطالب وللمجتمع، فالطالب يكسب مهارة وخبرة واندماجا في المجتمع، مما يهيئ له مجالات للعمل والتعامل مع المجتمع بعد التخرج ويعود بالفائدة على المجتمع. ونتيجة الضغوطات الكثيرة التي يعاني منها الطلبة تم إنشاء وحدة الإرشاد النفسي وتعد هذه الوحدة من أكثر الوحدات حساسية للطلبة؛ لذا حرصت الوحدة على سرية عملها وطلبتها، حيث إنها تعنى بشكل كبير بحل المشكلات التي يتعرض لها الطلبة، وهي مشكلات نفسية واجتماعية وأخلاقية وعاطفية، يتعرض لها الطلبة نتيجة لضغط الظروف المحيطة بالمجتمع المحلي.
