المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى تقصي فاعلية وحدة دراسية في الجغرافيا في ضوء نموذج آدي وشاير (Adey & Shayer) لتنمية التحصيل المعرفي، ومهارات اتخاذ القرار، والوعي بأهمية الموارد الاقتصادية لدى طلاب المرحلة المتوسطة، وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من (59) طالباً من طلاب الصف الثالث المتوسط بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وتم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين: تجريبية وضابطة؛ وقد درست المجموعة التجريبية الوحدة الدراسية في ضوء نموذج ادي وشاير (Adey & Shayer)، في حين درست المجموعة الضابطة بالطريقة المعتادة، وتم استخدام منهج البحث التجريبي ذي التصميم شبه التجريبي لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، وإعداد أدواتها، التي تمثلت في: اختبار التحصيل، واختبار مهارات اتخاذ القرار، ومقياس الوعي بأهمية الموارد الاقتصادية. وقد توصلت نتائج الدراسة إلي وجود فروق ذات إحصائية عند مستوي (0.05) في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار التحصيل، واختبار مهارات اتخاذ القرار، ومقياس الوعي بأهمية الموارد الاقتصادية لصالح طلاب المجموعة التجريبية، كما أظهرت النتائج أن حجم التأثير للوحدة دراسية في الجغرافيا في ضوء نموذج ادي وشاير (Adey & Shayer) كبير في تنمية التحصيل، ومهارات اتخاذ القرار والوعي بأهمية الموارد الاقتصادية، وقد انتهت الدراسة بتقديم مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات التر ترتبط بتوظيف نموذج ادي وشاير (Adey & Shayer) في بيئة التعلم.

This study aimed to investigate the ettectivness of An Instructional unit on geography in the Light of Adey & Shayer Model for Developing Cognitive Achievement & Decision-making skills and their Awareness of the Economic Resources importance in third middle school students in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The sample of the study consisted of (59) students, they were divided into two equal groups; experimental and control. The experimental group used An Instructional unit on geography in the Light of Adey & Shayer Model wears the contro group studied using traditional methods. The current study implementec the experimental Approch with Quiz expermintal design to achieve the Study objectives and its Tools preparation, which consist of Achievement test & Decision-making skills test and Awareness of the Economic Resources importance. The result indicated that there were statistically significant differences at (0.05) level between the mean rank scores of the groups in the post measure of the Achievement test & Decision-making skills test and Awareness of the Economic Resources importance in favor of the experimental group. The finding also indicated that effect size of suggested Geography unit In light of Adey & Shayer Model was large in enhancing the Achievement test & Decision-making test and Awareness of the Economic Resources importance. Also ther were statistically significant relationship between Achievements, Decision-making & Awareness of the Economic Resources importance), at last The study concluded by offering a group of recommendation and Suggestation that related with utilizing Geography unit In light of Adey & Shayer Model in the environment of Learning.
