هدفت الدراسة في سؤالها الرئيس إلى تقييم فعالية فصول التربية الخاصة الملحقة بمدارس التعليم العام بمحافظة جدة؟ بغية الوقوف على واقع هذه التجربة والوصول إلى توصيات تؤدى إلى تحسين وتطوير تلك المنظومة وتتكامل في الوقت نفسه مع ما تم إجراؤه من دراسات تناولت تقييم برامج التربية الخاصة في مناطق أخرى في المملكة العربية السعودية. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي المسحي الذي يسعى إلى تقييم فعالية فصول التربية الخاصة بمدارس التعليم العام في محافظة جدة من وجهة نظر المعلمين، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (98) معلماً , تم اختيارهم عشوائيا من مجتمع الدراسة , ممن يقدمون خدمات التربية الخاصة في مدارس التعليم العام وكان توزيع العينة تبعا لمتغيرات الدراسة وهي: البيئة التعليمية، التشخيص والتقييم، الهيئة التدريسية، التعاون، وبرامج فصول التربية الخاصة. واستعانت الدراسة بمقياسً لتقييم فعالية فصول التربية الخاصة في دولة الأمارات العربية المتحدة من وجهة نظر المعلمين، أعده كل من: القريوتى وعزو والحميدى، وتشير نتائج الدراسة إلى أن جميع المتوسطات للإبعاد المتضمنة في أداة الدراسة " مقياس فعالية فصول التربية الخاصة " وهى إبعاد: البيئة التعليمية، عمليات التشخيص والتقييم، الهيئة التدريسية، التعاون، وبرامج فصول التربية الخاصة، قد تراوحت من 3,34 إلى 3,6 وهى قيم تتعدى (3) التي تم اعتمادها نقطة قطع للدلالة على فعالية فصول التربية الخاصة الملحقة بمدارس التعليم العام بمحافظة جدة.
The study aimed ultimately to assess the effectiveness of the special education classes that are appended to the schools of public education in Jeddah in order to stand on this experience and get into some recommendations that help improve and develop this system, and however get integrated with what have so far been conducted in the studies that evaluated the programs of special educations at other areas in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia . This study has used the descriptive surveillance method that aims at evaluating the effectiveness of special education classes at the schools of public education in Jeddah from the point of view of teachers themselves. The sample of the study consisted of those who provide special education services. (98) Teachers have been haphazardly chosen from the study environment at the schools of public education. They were distributed according to the variables of the study, namely: diagnosis and evaluation, educational environment, cooperation, and the programs of special education classes. The study has also made use of a measure to evaluate the effectiveness of special education classes in the United Arab Emirates according to teachers' point of view, prepared by Al-Karyouti, and others (2004). Results of the current study have shown that all of the averages for the dimensions included in the tool of the study "a measure for the special education classes effectiveness" ranged between 3,34 and 3,6 and these are values that exceed 3, and however were accredited as a cut point used to refer to the effectiveness of the special education classes that are appended with the schools of public education in Jeddah
