المستخلص: Libyan University Students at English departments are usually asked to write graduation projects as one of the requirements for graduation. These students, however, encounter some difficulties in wording questionnaires and interviews’ questions and items, usually used in surveys. The difficulties can be categorized into two levels: First, a linguistic level that concerns selecting, ordering, and phrasing a free of spelling and grammar mistakes structures to form the questions. Second, a semantic level that concerns wording unambiguous questionnaire /interview questions and items. This paper discusses the importance of writing this type of questions clearly and correctly. It presents, analyzes and compares models of some of the ungrammatical or inappropriate questions prepared by students. These models illustrate the difficulties these students face when preparing this type of questions. The results may have pedagogical implications.
