|b The current paper investigates the teaching of Oral Expression at the Department of Letters and English Language. It aims to find out whether there is a specific method or methods used to teach this module and whether the teachers are provided with a syllabus to follow. Lack of a precise method and a syllabus leads to inconsistency and incoherence in teaching which are reflected in heterogeneous student levels of progress. It also examines the teachersʹ awareness and knowledge of the different existing foreign language teaching methods and approaches, which tests the effectiveness and the reliability of their teaching practices. Finally, this paper addresses the importance of teacher training to enhance the teachers’ performance, raise their awareness of the teaching and learning processes, of how to implement a syllabus and how to remain up-to date with the latest teaching techniques and strategies

|a يلقي هذا المقال الضوء علي تدريس وحدة التعبير الشفهي ومهارات التحدث في كلية الآداب واللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة منتوري قسنطينة. كما ويتطرق المقال إلي أهمية اتباع منهجية معينة وبرنامج محدد، حيث يعتبر كل منهما فائق الأهمية لتدريس مادة التعبير الشفهي ومهارات التحدث. كما قد يأتي غيابهما إلي تناقض وعدم وجود تناسق علي مستوي التدريس الذي ينعكس في مستويات التقدم الغير متجانسة التي يحققها الطلاب. بالإضافة إلي ذلك، يدرس هذا المقال مستوي معرفة الأساتذة ووعيهم في ما يخص مختلف منهاجيات تدريس اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية، التي بدورها تختبر مدي فعالية ودقة ممارستهم التعليمية. وفي الأخير، يتناول هذا المقال أهمية تدريب المعلمين قبل وخلال مسارهم التعليمي، من خلال إدماجهم في برامج للتدريب لتحسين أدائهم ومعارفهم بكل ما هو متعلق بمنهجيات التعليم وكيفية تنفيذ البرامج المخصصة للتدريس.
