المستخلص: Le processus d’enseignement/apprentissage des langues étrangères ne se limite pas à la simple acquisition d’un instrument de communication. Car outre les compétences linguistiques et grammaticales, l’enseignant est également amené à intégrer dans ses enseignements des notions et des activités permettant à l’apprenant d’accéder à la culture de la langue cible. Son rôle consiste donc à le familiariser avec un univers symbolique bien spécifique, tout en le sensibilisant à l’altérité dans la communication interculturelle. Nous nous proposons dans cet article d’explorer le rapport langue/culture afin de développer une réflexion sur la dimension culturelle et interculturelle dans l’enseignement du FLE à l’université.

The process of teaching / learning foreign languages is not limited to the simple acquisition of a communication tool. In addition to linguistic and grammatical skills, the teacher is also required to integrate concepts and activities into his teaching allowing the learner to access the culture of the target language. His role, therefore, consists in familiarizing him with a very specific symbolic universe, while making him aware of otherness in intercultural communication. In this article, we propose to explore the language / culture relationship in order to develop a reflection on the cultural and intercultural dimension in teaching French as a foreign language at university.
