المستخلص: Amin Maalouf is an author who seeks to promote the comprehension, bringing civilizations together and desire of reconciliation. In Origines, the author traces the history of a family from Lebanon, and more precisely, that of his paternal grandfather Botros; by proposing a true quest of his ancestors… Who move from country to country to wonder about their identity origins which cannot determine the true personality of the Individual except by having regard to the reconciliation with the Other. The aim is to find some kind of inner peace.

Amine Maalouf est un auteur qui cherche à favoriser la compréhension, le rapprochement des civilisations, et le désir de réconciliation. Dans Origines, il retrace l’épopée d’une famille libanaise et, plus précisément, celle de son grand-père paternel Botros, en proposant une véritable quête de ses ancêtres qui se déplacent dans différents pays à la recherche de leurs origines, ne pouvant déterminer la vraie personnalité de l’être que par l’importance de la réconciliation avec l’Autre dont le but est de trouver une sorte de paix intérieure.

يقدم أمين معلوف، المؤلف الذي عادة ما يسعى من خلال أعماله إلى تعزيز أواصر التواصل والتفاهم والتقارب بين الحضارات، في روايته «Origines» ملحمة عائلة شرقية تعيش بلبنان، البلد الذي یواجه على أرضه اختلاف الثقافات والأديان. تتناول هذه القصة حكاية جده بطرس، والد أبيه، الذي لم يترك بلدا إلا وزاره سعيا منه إلى اكتشاف ذاته، والبحث عن أصله. غير أنه لم يستطع تحقيق ذلك إلا من خلال مصالحته مع الآخر بغية الحصول على نوع من السلام مع الذات.
