|a يعد نموذج بادلي من أهم النماذج التي تطرقت إلى الذاكرة العاملة، حيث أشار بادلي وهيتش إلى ثلاثة نظم، المكون اللفظي يهتم بالتسميع للإبقاء بغية الاسترجاع الفوري ويتولى هذا المكون العمليات اللفظية والمكون البصري المكاني الذي يهتم بالمحافظة علي المعلومات البصرية والمعلومات المكانية في الذاكرة العاملة كما يتولى عمليات التخيل والبحث البصري المكاني، والمنفذ المركزي أو ما يطلق عليه نظام التحكم التنفيذي وهو النظام المسئول عن الذاكرة العاملة ووظيفته التنسيق بين مكوناتها، ثم أضاف بادلي سنة 2002 مكونا رابعا أطلق عليه مصد الأحداث، وقد وجهت كثير من الانتقادات لهذا النموذج من حيث أنظمة التخزين، ومهام كل مكون، وكما أن هناك بعض الدراسات التي حاولت التحقق من صدق هذا النموذج، منها ما أجري في بيئة أجنبية، ومنها ما أجري في بيئة عربية.
