The current study was entitled: The thinking methods according to Sternberg theory and its relation to the learning patterns according to the Biggs theory among the secondary school students on the basis of some variables (gender and academic specialization). Therefore, the research sought to answer the following problem: Is there a correlation between the methods of thinking according to Sternberg theory and the learning patterns according to Biggs theory, among the high school students according to the gender variable and the academic specialization? In order to answer the problem of the research, we adopted the descriptive approach. The sample was randomly selected from the students of Abdel-kader El-yajouri in Oran, where it reached (400) students, both of the genders (male and female) and from both disciplines (scientific and literary). In order to measure the research variables, the Sternberg Scale of thinking methods and the Biggs scale for learning methods were used. After the theoretical and field treatment, the study found the following results. There is no statistically significant correlative relationship between the thinking methods according to Sternberg theory and the methods of learning according to the Biggs theory, and its absence in both genders and even in the scientific and literary divisions. This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
