المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى تقييم المعيار المقترح للهيئة القومية لضمان جودة التعليم والاعتماد في مصر لتقييم برامج المكتبات، وتطبيق هذا المعيار على برنامج قسم المكتبات والمعلومات بجامعة سوهاج؛ لمعرفة مدى صلاحية هذا المعيار لتقييم برامج المكتبات في مصر، وكذلك تقييم برنامج قسم المكتبات والمعلومات بجامعة سوهاج وفقا للمعيار المقترح، وباستخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، من أهمها صلاحية المعيار المقترح لتقييم برامج المكتبات في مصر ولكن بعد تطويره وإضافة بعض البنود التفصيلية له؛ مثل تحديد نسبة أعضاء هيئة التدريس التي تتناسب مع أعداد الطلاب الملتحقين أو المقبولين للدراسة ببرنامج قسم المكتبات والمعلومات، وتحديد المعامل المطلوبة أو اللازمة لأقسام المكتبات ومواصفاتها، كما توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود أوجه نقص وقصور في برنامج قسم المكتبات والمعلومات بسوهاج، مثل عدم توافر المعامل اللازمة للقسم بالرغم من تميز القسم في بعض النقاط؛ مثل نجاح القسم في العمل على إنشاء مركز بحوث نظم وخدمات المعلومات أسوة بالمركز التابع لجامعة القاهرة.

The study aimed to evaluate the proposed standard of the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation in Egypt to evaluate library programs and apply this standard to the program of the Department of Libraries and Information at Sohag University to determine the validity of this standard for evaluating library programs in Egypt. It also seeks to evaluate the program of the Library and Information Department at Sohag University according to the proposed standard. The study used the descriptive-analytical approach and reached several results, the most important of which are: the validity of the proposed standard for evaluating library programs in Egypt, but after developing it and adding some detailed sections to it, such as determining the percentage of faculty members commensurate with the numbers of students enrolled or admitted to study in the Library and Information Department program, and determining the required or necessary laboratories for libraries departments and their specifications. The study also found that there were shortcomings and deficiencies in the program of the Library and Information Section in Sohag, such as the lack of laboratories required for the department, despite the distinction of the department on certain points like the success of the department in working on establishing a research center for information systems and services, similar to the center affiliated with Cairo University.
