المستخلص: استخدم طلاب علوم المكتبات والمعلومات شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي من أجل ترقية وتطوير المهارات والقدرات العلمية، وتهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى استغلال طلاب علوم المكتبات والمعلومات في الجامعات السودانية لشبكات التواصل الاجتماعي مثل (الفيسبوك والواتساب) في مجال التدريب والتعليم، والتعرف على المهارات والقدرات التي تم اكتسابها من (الفيسبوك والواتساب)، وتسليط الضوء على ميول ورغبات طلاب المكتبات والمعلومات بالجامعات السودانية، وتنبع أهمية الدراسة في توضيح الدور الفاعل لشبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في تعليم وتدريب طلاب علوم المكتبات في السودان، وتمحورت مشكلة الدراسة في ضعف التعاون بين طلاب المكتبات والمعلومات وأقسام المكتبات والمعلومات وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والاعتماد على التعليم التقليدي، وضعف المهارات والقدرات العلمية المكتسبة من شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي، وتمثلت أسئلة الدراسة في: هل لدى طلاب المكتبات والمعلومات بالجامعات السودانية مواقع للفيسبوك والواتساب؟، وما المهارات والمعارف والقدرات العلمية المكتسبة من استخدام طلاب المكتبات والمعلومات للفيسبوك والواتساب؟، استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي بشقيه المسحي ودراسة الحالة والمنهج التحليلي والاستبانه والمقابلة كأدوات لجمع البيانات، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن مهارة إعداد البحوث والأوراق العلمية في جامعة الخرطوم تمركزت الإجابة حول جيد بنسبة 36%، وجيد جدا بنسبة 24%، وفي جامعة النيلين تمركزت الإجابة حول جيد جدا بنسبة 42%، وجيد بنسبة 42%، واتضح مدى إسهام شبكة الفيسبوك والوآتساب في مهارات تقانة المعلومات حيث كانت في جامعة الخرطوم جيد جدا بنسبة 30%، وممتازة بنسبة 24%، وفي جامعة النيلين كانت الإجابة حول ممتازة بنسبة 32%، وجيد ووسط بنسبة 24%. وأوصت الدراسة على طلاب علوم المكتبات والمعلومات عينة الدراسة الاهتمام بمواقع الاتحادات والجمعيات المهنية، ومناقشة المقررات الدراسية ومتابعة الأحداث الجارية والنشاطات والأخبار المتعلقة بالتخصص وتنمية مهارة إعداد البحوث والأوراق العلمية لطلاب علوم المكتبات في جامعة الخرطوم والنيلين من خلال مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي. وتنمية مهارة تقانة المعلومات ومهارة إجراء العمليات الفنية.

The students of library and information sciences use social media networks for the promotion and development of their scientific skills and capacities. The aim of the study is to learn about the extent of utilization of social media networks (like Face Book and Whatsapp), by the students of library and information sciences in Sudanese universities, in the field of training and education. The study is also interested in learning about the skills and capacities they acquired from the (Face Book and Whatsapp). One of the aims of the study is to highlight the tendencies and desires of the students of library and information sciences, in Sudanese universities. The importance of the study stems from the clarification, which it gives, regarding the effective role of social media networks, in the education and training of the students of library and information sciences in Sudanese universities. The problem of the study is focused on the poor cooperation between the students of library and information sciences, the departments of library and information sciences and the teaching staff, in addition to reliance on traditional education and the poor skills and capacities acquired from social media networks. The questions of the study were: Do the students of library' and information sciences in Sudanese universities have sites on the Face Book and Whatsapp? What are the scientific skills, knowledge and capacities acquired from the Face Book and the WhatsApp by the students of library and information sciences? The study adopted the descriptive method with its two components (survey and case study), in addition to analytical method, the questionnaire and the interview, as tools for data collection. The study reached the conclusion that the skill of conducting research and scientific papers in the University of Khartoum, is as follows: good 36%, very good 24%. El-Nielein University gave the following results: very good 42%, good 42%. Regarding the contribution of the Face Book and the WhatsApp in the development of the skills in information technology", the results were as follows: the University of Khartoum: very good 30% and excellent 24%. Answers from the Nielein University were: excellent 32%, good and acceptable 24%. The study recommends that the students of library and information sciences should give attention to the websites of professional unions and associations. They should also hold discussions on education programs and should keep informed about current events, activities and news related to their specialization. They should develop their skills of conducting and preparing research and scientific papers, through social media networks.
