المستخلص: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as a member of the Group of 20, contributes assistance to poor and affected countries. In addition to establishing development projects in friendly and brotherly countries, provided by specialized official bodies such as the Saudi Development Fund, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Da'wah and Guidance and Non-governmental bodies such as the Public Fund-raising Authority. Considering that the profession of social work is a human profession, aimed at improving the quality of life of the human person at all times and places, as the accumulation and diversity of expertise and the emergence of international organizations, which calls for increased attention to the provision of humanitarian and social services to meet future challenges from a global perspective and contribute to the development process and keep abreast of the requirements of the practice of international social service. This study, therefore, aims to identify the requirements of the international social service in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to increase the effectiveness of the Saudi developmental role in the international social service. The study was based on the curriculum of social survey in a comprehensive manner, and the study was applied to faculty members from the degree of assistant professor to the degree of professor at the universities of Riyadh City. The study relied on the questionnaire tool, which included a range of dimensions. The results of the study yielded a series of findings, the most important being: the majority of the study community agreed on an appropriate definition of international social service. As for professional skills, negotiation, persuasion, influence, guidance and empowerment skills were ranked first Followed by skills to set the goals of social welfare programs and projects.
While personal skills were the highest in the ability to interact with multiple cultures, followed by knowledge of the goals and functions of United Nations and international organizations. The ethical standard of respect for human rights has also been ranked first followed by equal proportions of non-discrimination and respect for cultural diversity. The issues or challenges that must be addressed by the international social service have been the issue of poverty in the first place followed by the issue of social justice. The study came up with a proposal to teach international social service in Saudi society.

تسهم المملكة العربية السعودية كدولة عضو في مجموعة العشرين بتقديم مساعدات للدول الفقيرة والمتضررة، وفضلا إلى إنشاء المشروعات التنموية في الدول الصديقة والشقيقة، المقدمة من الهيئات الرسمية المتخصصة كصندوق التنمية السعودي، ووزارة الشؤون الإسلامية والأوقاف والدعوة والإرشاد، والهيئات الأهلية مثل الهيئة العامة لجمع التبرعات. وباعتبار أن مهنة الخدمة الاجتماعية مهنة إنسانية، تستهدف تحسين نوعية الحياة للإنسان في كل زمان ومكان، إذ أدى تراكم الخبرات وتنوعها وظهور المنظمات الدولية، التي تنادي بزيادة الاهتمام بتقديم الخدمات الإنسانية والاجتماعية لمواجهة التحديات المستقبلية بمنظور عالمي، والمساهمة في عملية التنمية ومواكبة متطلبات ممارسة الخدمة الاجتماعية الدولية،
لذا تستهدف هذه الدراسة التعرف على متطلبات الخدمة الاجتماعية الدولية في المملكة العربية السعودية، لزيادة فاعلية الدور التنموي السعودي في الخدمة الاجتماعية الدولية. واعتمدت الدراسة على منهج المسح الاجتماعي بأسلوب الحصر الشامل، وطبقت الدراسة على أعضاء هيئة التدريس من درجة أستاذ مساعد إلى درجة أستاذ بجامعات مدينة الرياض، واعتمدت الدراسة على أداة الاستبيان والذي تضمن مجموعة من الأبعاد، وقد أسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن مجموعة من النتائج أهمها: أن غالبية مجتمع الدراسة اتفقوا على تعريف مناسب للخدمة الاجتماعية الدولية. أما المهارات المهنية فقد حصلت مهارات التفاوض والإقناع والتأثير والتوجيه والتمكين على المرتبة الأولى، يليها مهارات تحديد أهداف برامج ومشروعات الرعاية الاجتماعية. في حين أن المهارات الشخصية كانت أعلى نسبة في مهارة القدرة على التعامل مع ثقافات متعددة، يليها مهارة الدراية بأهداف ومهام منظمات الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية. كما أن المعيار الأخلاقي احترام حقوق الإنسان قد حصل على المرتبة الأولى، يليه نسب متساوية لمعياري عدم التمييز ومعيار احترام تنوع الثقافات، أما القضايا أو التحديات التي يجب أن تهتم بها الخدمة الاجتماعية الدولية فقد احتلت قضية الفقر المرتبة الأولى، يليها قضية العدالة الاجتماعية. وقد خرجت الدراسة بتصور مقترح لتعليم الخدمة الاجتماعية الدولية في المجتمع السعودي.
