تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على مفهوم الدمج وأنواعه وإيجابياته وسلبياته، وكذلك التعرف على تجربة دمج الأطفال المعاقين في المملكة العربية السعودية، وعلى تجارب بعض الدول الأجنبية في مجال دمج الأطفال المعاقين من أجل التوصل إلى تصور المقترح لدمج الأطفال المعاقين في المملكة العربية السعودية في ضوء تجارب بعض الدول الأجنبية. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة غياب برامج وخدمات التداخل المبكر كجهد وقائي وعلاجي في مواجهة مشكلة الإعاقة، وافتقار العديد من الكليات التربوية بالجامعات السعودية أقسام وعيادات ومراكز تقدم خدمات للطفل المعاق، كذلك وجود نقص في الكوادر المختصة المدربة في مجال الدمج في التربية الخاصة. وأوصت الدراسة بمراعاة الفروق الفردية في تعليم الأطفال من خلال تكييف المنهج حسب القدرات والاستعدادات الخاصة لكل طفل، كما ينبغي مواءمة المناهج الدراسية لاحتياجات الأطفال وليس العكس وعلى ذلك ينبغي للمدارس أن تتيح في إطار المنهج الدراسي فرصاً تمكن الأطفال ذوي القدرات والاهتمامات المختلفة من الانتفاع به. وأن يصمم مبنى المدرسة تصميماً يتلاءم مع معطيات العملية التربوية ويتناسب مع حاجات الطفل المعاق ويراعى نوع الإعاقة.
The present study aims to identify the concept of integration, types and pros and cons, as well as to identify the integration of disabled children in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the experiences of some foreign countries in the field of integration of disabled children like the United States of America, England and Italy experience, in order to arrive at a conception proposal to integrate disabled children in Saudi Arabia in the light of the experiences of these foreign countries. Results of the study the absence of programs and services for early intervention effort preventive and therapeutic in the face of the problem of disability has shown, and the lack of many of the educational colleges in Saudi universities departments, clinics and centers provide services for disabled children, as well as a lack of competent staff trained in the field of mergers in special education. The study recommended taking into account individual differences in children's education by adapting the curriculum according to the capacity and preparations for each child, as it should harmonize the curriculum to the needs of children and not vice versa and that schools should provide, under the curriculum opportunities that children with abilities and interests different from the use of it. And design school building design consistent with the data of the educational process and commensurate with the needs of a disabled child and take into account the type of disability.
