المستخلص: This study aimed at investigating the relationship between work- Family conflict and job and family satisfaction. Moreover, the mediating effect of emotional exhaustion in this relationship was also investigated. The sample consisted of 496 employees working at construction companies registered in the Egyptian Construction and Building Union in Cairo. The sample included engineers, accountants and administrators with a reasonable mix of demographic characteristics. The data were obtained using a structured questionnaire to assess Work Interfere with Family (WIF), Family Interfere with Work (FIW), Emotional exhaustion, job satisfaction and family satisfaction. Hierarchal regression and Structural Equation Modelling were used to test the hypothesised relations. Work Interfere with Family (WIF) was found to predict family satisfaction whereas Family Interfere with Work (FIW) was found to predict job satisfaction. The mediation role of Emotional exhaustion was supported by SEM. These results were discussed in line with extant literature. Conclusion and practical implications were reported..
