المستخلص: Each language has its own characteristics, and the difference in languages is not limited to the structures, words, and phrases. Rather, it transcends to their users and their perception of the world, and the way they understand and express concepts.
All of these differences may pose multiple difficulties for the translator. Just as the literary translator finds himself in front of cultural voids resulting from cultural uniqueness. The translator of the specialized text also finds himself in front of lexical voids that differ in nature depending on the field of specialization and style of the text. Specialized translation is not, as some learners think, a simple evocation process of agreed-upon terms, and its replacement by equivalent ones in another language, but rather a complex process that places many obstacles in front of the translator, including the absence of the equivalent. So, what is the nature of these lexical voids that stand in the way of the professional translator? and how to deal with the absence of the equivalent in the recipient language?

Toute langue est particulière, de par ses mots, ses expressions et même ses utilisateurs: leurs points de vue et la manière dont ils perçoivent les concepts et les décrivent. Ces particularités que chaque culture et chaque peuple s’approprient peuvent néanmoins entraver le traducteur dans sa tâche de transfert. Littéraire qu’il soit ou spécialisé, il est susceptible de se retrouver face à des vides lexicaux. Mais si dans un texte littéraire, ces vides lexicaux sont souvent d’ordre culturel dû aux spécificités qu’imposent les cultures chacune à sa manière, qu’en est-il de ceux rencontrés par le traducteur de textes spécialisés ? Et comment est-il censé procéder face à ce genre de difficultés ?

لكل لغة خصائصها، ولا يقتصر الاختلاف في اللغات على التراكيب والألفاظ والعبارات، بل يتعدى ذلك إلى مستعمليها وإلى رؤيتهم للعالم وطريقة استيعابهم للمفاهيم والتغبير عنها. كل هذه الاختلافات قد تطرح أمام المترجم صعوبات متعددة. وكما يجد المترجم الأدبي نفسه أمام فراغات ثقافية ناتجة عن التفرد الثقافي، يجد مترجم النص المتخصص نفسه أيضا أمام فراغات معجمية تختلف طبيعتها باختلاف مجال تخصص النص ونمطه. فالترجمة المتخصصة ليست كما يظن بعض الدارسين عملية استحضار بسيطة لمصطلحات متفق عليها، واستبدالها بما يقابلها في لغة أخرى، بل هي عملية معقدة تضع عقبات عديدة أمام المترجم من بينها غياب المقابل. فيا ترى ما طبيعة هذه الفراغات المعجمية التي تعترض طريق المترجم المتخصص؟ وكيف يتعامل مع غياب المقابل في اللغة المنقول إليها؟
