Students with Tourette syndrome disorder are not those suffering from mental or physical disabilities but are ordinary students who face certain motor and acoustic disorders such as involuntary motor and acoustic movements. These movements are characterized by sudden, frequencies, stereotypical, inconsistent, reciprocal, occurring in different areas of the body that may hinder them from demonstrating their abilities due to the presence of a functional neurological disorder in one of the brain centers responsible for regulating movement and compatibility, even though they are of medium and above-average intelligence. Therefore, they are prone to learning difficulties that have the greatest impact on pupils in increasing the severity of the chorus than the presence of Tourette syndrome alone. They are similar to students with learning difficulties in learning academic skills (reading, writing, arithmetic) with the difference in the chorus that affects their learning.
A pupil whose eyelids tremble and head shakes during reading can not continue reading because of these syndromes. Also, a student who has disorders in his hand, fingers, and arms cannot continue the writing process, or that his writing would be unclear or not-understandable, or it would be poor because the pupil cannot control his hand during the occurrence of these syndromes. Also, the voice disorders that occur during the conversation can hinder the communication process and make speech unclear or incomprehensible.
In addition, these students suffer from behavioral disorders that are caused by the same disorder, such as cognitive disorders, language side disorders, motor disorders, and social and emotional disorders, which are a natural consequence of the rejection and humiliating mockery, and cruel harassment by other members of their family or by their peers in the school environment, which in turn affects their self-perception, their appreciation and their harmony with themselves and makes them an oscillating character who can't trust himself or others.
Therefore, the researchers believe that we must study and understand the nature of this category. This will only be possible in light of the diagnostic tests approved by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders — Fourth Edition- Text Version- 2000 for an accurate and in-depth diagnosis of these students by observing them and collecting information and data that contribute to early detection and finding the boundaries between them and many disorders that may be similar in the disorder symptoms and differ in some by preparation of tests and measures that contribute to the detection of differences in each of these categories (Tourette Syndrome — Learning Difficulties) in order to draw a diagnostic picture of such groups and then prepare appropriate counseling and treatment services and provide effective programs.
