المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على طبيعة العلاقة بين صورة الجسم والمهارات الاجتماعية، ومدى إمكانية تنبؤ صورة الجسم بمستوى المهارات الاجتماعية، والتعرف على الفروق القائمة بين متوسطات درجات أفراد العينة في المهارات الاجتماعية والتي تعزى لمتغيري التخصص الدراسي والوضع الاجتماعي، ومدى الفروق بين متوسطات درجات أفراد عينة البحث من الطالبات المستجدات واللواتي على وشك التخرج في المهارات الاجتماعية، وفي ضوء المنهج الوصفي بنمطيه الوصفي والمقارن اختارت الباحثة عينة من طالبات جامعة الملك خالد بواقع (381) طالبة من مختلف التخصصات والمستويات الدراسية، كما تم استخدام أدوات قياسية لجمع البيانات متمثلة بمقياس صورة الجسم (الخثعمي، 2012)، ومقياس المهارات الاجتماعية (السمادوني، 1991)، وفي ضوء طبيعة تلك البيانات تم تحليلها بالأساليب الإحصائية الملائمة والتي أسفرت عن أهم النتائج التالية: عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين درجات بعد المظهر العام للجسم كأحد أبعاد مقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات المهارات الاجتماعية وأبعادها الفرعية لدى طالبات الجامعة. وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى 0.01 بين درجات بعد تناسق أطراف الجسم كأحد أبعاد مقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات المهارات الاجتماعية وبعدى التعبير الاجتماعي والمراوغة الاجتماعية لدى طالبات الجامعة. عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين درجات بعد تناسق أطراف الجسم كأحد أبعاد مقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات أبعاد التعبير الانفعالي، الحساسية الانفعالية، الضبط الانفعالي، الحساسية الاجتماعية والضبط الاجتماعي من مقياس المهارات الاجتماعية لدى طالبات الجامعة وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05-0.01) بين درجات بعد وزن الجسم كأحد أبعاد مقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات المهارات الاجتماعية وأبعاد التعبير الانفعالي، الحساسية الاجتماعية، الضبط الاجتماعي لدى طالبات الجامعة. عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين درجات بعد وزن الجسم كأحد أبعاد مقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات أبعاد الحساسية الانفعالية، الحساسية الاجتماعية والضبط الاجتماعي والمراوغة الاجتماعية من مقياس المهارات الاجتماعية لدى طالبات الجامعة. عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين درجات بعد جاذبية الجسم كأحد أبعاد مقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات المهارات الاجتماعية وأبعادها الفرعية لدى طالبات الجامعة وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05-0.01) بين درجات بعد صحة الجسم كأحد أبعاد مقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات المهارات الاجتماعية وبعدى التعبير الاجتماعي والمراوغة الاجتماعية لدى طالبات الجامعة. عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين درجات بعد صحة الجسم كأحد أبعاد مقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات أبعاد التعبير الانفعالي، الحساسية الانفعالية، الضبط الانفعالي، الحساسية الاجتماعية والضبط الاجتماعي من مقياس المهارات الاجتماعية لدى طالبات الجامعة وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05-0.01) بين الدرجات الكلية لمقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات المهارات الاجتماعية وأبعاد التعبير الاجتماعي، الحساسية الاجتماعية والمراوغة الاجتماعية لدى طالبات الجامعة. عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الدرجات الكلية لمقياس صورة الجسم ودرجات أبعاد التعبير الانفعالي، الحساسية الانفعالية، الضبط الانفعالي والضبط الاجتماعي من مقياس المهارات الاجتماعية لدى طالبات الجامعة توجد فروق إحصائية دالة في متوسط درجات بعد الضبط الاجتماعي كأحد أبعاد المهارات الاجتماعية لدى طالبات علم النفس المستجدات واللواتي على وشك التخرج والفروق لصالح المستجدات توجد فروق إحصائية دالة في متوسط درجات بعد المراوغة الاجتماعي كأحد أبعاد المهارات الاجتماعية بين طالبات علم النفس المستجدات واللواتي على وشك التخرج والفروق لصالح اللواتي على وشك التخرج. لا توجد فروق إحصائية ذات دلالة في متوسط درجات المهارات الاجتماعية وأبعاد التعبير الانفعالي، الحساسية الانفعالية، الضبط الانفعالي، التعبير الاجتماعي والحساسية الاجتماعية بين طالبات علم النفس المستجدات واللواتي على وشك التخرج. لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا في متوسط رتب مقياس المهارات الاجتماعية وأبعاده الفرعية تعزى لمتغير التخصص الدراسي لدى طالبات الجامعة. لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا في متوسط رتب مقياس المهارات الاجتماعية وأبعاده الفرعية تعزى لمتغير الوضع الاجتماعي لدى طالبات الجامعة.

The study aims to identify the nature of the relationship between the body image and social skills and the extent to which the image of the body can be predicted at the level of social skills , identify the differences between the average scores of respondents in the social skills which are attributed to both factors of academic specialization and the social position as well as the extent of differences between the average scores of fresh respondents who are about to be graduated in social skills. In the context of the descriptive approach, the researcher selected a sample of King Khalid University female students numbered (381) students from different disciplines and levels of study. Standard tools were also used for data collection. In light of these data, they were analyzed using the appropriate statistical methods, which resulted in the following main results: There is no a statistically significant correlation between degrees (scores) of the dimension of the general appearance of the body as one of the dimensions of the body image scale and the degrees of social skills and their subdivisions among university girl-students. There is a statistically significant correlation at level 0.01 between the degrees (scores) the dimension of body limbs (extremities) harmony as one of the dimensions of the body image scale and the degrees of social skills and both dimensions of the social change and social evasion among the university girl-students. There is no a statistically significant correlation between degrees of the dimension of body limbs as one of the dimensions of the body image scale and the degrees of dimensions of emotional expression, emotional sensitivity, emotional control, social sensitivity and social control of the social skills scale and university girl-students There is a statistically significant correlation at the level of (0.05 - 0.01) between dimension of body weight as one of the dimensions of the body image scale and the degrees of social skills and the dimensions of emotional expression, social sensitivity and social control among university –girl students. There is no a statistically significant correlation between scores of body weight dimension as one of the dimensions of the body image scale and the degrees of emotional sensitivity, social sensitivity, social control and social evasion of the social skills scale among university girl-students. There is no statistically significant correlation between degrees of the body attractiveness dimension as one of the dimensions of the body image scale and the degrees of social skills and their subdivisions among university girl-students. There is a statistically significant correlation at the level (0.05 - 0.01) between body health dimension as one of the dimensions of the body image scale and the degrees of social skills, social expression and social evasion among university girl- students. There is no statistically significant correlation between scores of body health dimension as one of the dimensions of the body image scale and the dimensions of emotional expression, emotional sensitivity, social sensitivity, and social control of the social skills scale among university girl-students. There is a statistically significant correlation at the level (0.05 - 0.01) between the total scores of the body image scale and the degrees of social skills, dimensions of social expression, social sensitivity and social evasion among university girl-students. There is no statistically significant correlation between the total scores of the body image scale and the emotional dimensions of expression, emotional sensitivity, emotional control, and social control of the social skills scale among university girl-students. There are statistically significant differences in the average scores of social control dimension as one of the dimensions of social skills among fresh psychology girl-students who are about to graduate and the differences in favor of the new ones. There are statistically significant differences in the average scores of social evasion as one of the dimensions of social skills among fresh psychology girl-students who about to graduate and the differences are in favor of those who are about to graduate. There are statistically significant differences in the average score of social skills and the dimensions of emotional expression, emotional sensitivity, emotional control, social expression and social sensitivity between fresh psychology girl-students and those are about to graduate There are no statistically significant differences in the average grade of the social skills scale and its sub-dimensions attributed to the variable of specialization among university girl-students. There are no statistically significant differences in the average grade of the social skills scale and its sub-dimensions attributed to the social status variable among university girl-students.
