المستخلص: سعت الدراسة إلى تعرف دور معلمات رياض مدينة اللاذقية في إكساب الأطفال بعض مهارات الاستعداد للقراءة والمشكلات التي تواجههن في هذا الصدد، واختيرت عينة عشوائية ممثلة للمجتمع الأصلي مؤلفة من (72) معلمة رياض أطفال، وصممت استبانة خاصة لهذا الغرض موزعة على محورين، فضلا عن سؤال مفتوح عن الصعوبات التي تعيق المعلمات من تنمية مهارات استعداد الطفل للقراءة. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة إلمام معلمات الرياض بمفهوم الاستعداد لتعلم الأطفال للقراءة والعوامل المؤثرة فيه، ووعي تلك المعلمات بأهمية نشاط سرد القصص والفائدة الكبيرة التي تقدمها القصص للأطفال، ووجود عدة صعوبات تعيق المعلمات من تأدية دورهن بالشكل الأمثل في تنمية مهارات استعداد الأطفال للقراءة، كان أهمها: التهجئة السريعة وعدم تذكر الأطفال لأشكال الحروف، وقلة توافر الوسائل المساعدة في تنمية الاستعداد للقراءة، وعدم تشجيع الأهل لأطفالهم على القراءة، وكثرة أعداد الأطفال في الشعبة الواحدة. كما بينت الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات تقديرات معلمات الرياض لدورهن في تنمية مهارات الاستعداد للقراءة لدى الأطفال تعزى لمتغير المؤهل العلمي، وبالمقابل عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات تقديرات معلمات الرياض لدورهن في تنمية مهارات الاستعداد للقراءة لدى الأطفال تعزى لكل من متغيرات سنوات الخبرة، ونوع ملكية الروضة، وتوافر مكتبة في الروضة. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة تأكيد معايير اختيار معلمات الرياض، وعقد دورت تدريبية لهن تشدد على استخدام أساليب مساعدة على تنمية استعداد الطفل للقراءة، وبضرورة تخصيص ميزانية كافية من قبل إدارة الروضة لشراء القصص وكتب الأطفال، وتوفير الوسائل المساعدة لتنمية مهارات الاستعداد للقراءة.

The study aimed at identifying the role of kindergarten teachers in Lattakia in offering children some reading readiness skills to read and to identify the problems they face in this regard. A sample was chosen randomly represented the original society of (72) teachers of kindergarten. A questionnaire was divided into two fields, in addition to an open question about the difficulties that hinder teachers from developing the skills of readiness to read by the child. Results showed the familiarity of kindergarten teachers of the concept of readiness of kindergarteners to read and the factors that affect it, and the awareness of those teachers of the importance of storytelling activity and the great interest that it offers to kindergarteners. The results of the study also showed the presence of several difficulties which hinder teachers from performing their role perfectly in developing the skills of willingness to read by kindergarteners, the most important difficulties were: the fast spelling and non remembering the shapes of letters by children; the lack of helping tools in developing the willingness to read; parents don't encourage their children to read, and the big number of children at each section. The study also showed a statistical significant differences between the mean scores of the kindergarten teachers estimates of their role in developing the skills of willingness to read by children which are attributed to the educational quantification variable, by contrast, there were no statistical significant differences between the mean scores of the kindergarten teachers estimates of their role in developing the skills of willingness to read by children which are attributed to the variable of years experience, and the type of ownership of the kindergarten, and the availability of a library at the kindergarten. The study recommended the necessity of assuring the criteria of selecting the kindergarten teachers, and holding training sessions for them, which emphasize using helping aids in developing the willingness of the children to read, it also recommended to allocate a sufficient budget by the kindergarten management to buy the stories and books for children, in addition to providing the helping aids in developing the skills of willingness to read.
