المستخلص: This article is considered a critical analysis of the problem of identifying children with mental disabilities by questioning the criteria that allow the identification of these children. So at the end of the analysis, it becomes clear that the process of identifying and taking care of children with mental disabilities, especially atypical situations, is a process of settlement that varies and differs according to the logic that governs and directs the actions and activities of different social actors in this area.

يعتبر هذا المقال بمثابة تحليل نقدي لإشكالية التعرف على الأطفال المعاقين ذهنيا وذلك بالتساؤل حول المعايير التي تسمح بالتعرف على هؤلاء الأطفال، ليتبين في نهاية التحليل أن عملية التعرف على الأطفال المعاقين ذهنيا والتكفل بهم وبخاصة الحالات اللانمطية هي سيرورة تسوية تتنوع وتختلف باختلاف المنطق الذي يحكم ويوجه أفعال ونشاطات تختلف الفاعلين الاجتماعيين في هذا المجال.

Cet article représente une analyse critique de la problématique de l’identification des enfants handicapés mentaux en s’interrogeant sur les normes qui permettent d’identifier ces enfants. En fin d’analyse il apparait que l’identification et la prise en charge des enfants handicapés mentaux (notamment les cas atypiques) est un processus de normalisation qui obéit à différentes logiques qui orientent les actions des différents acteurs sociaux dans ce domaine.
