المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى إلقاء الضوء على ظاهرة إدمان الإنترنت وعلاقته بتقدير الذات، وأجريت الدراسة على عينة من طلاب المرحلة الثانوية بمحافظة كفر الشيخ، وانطلقت الدراسة من السؤال الممثل ما العلاقة بين تقدير الذات وإدمان الإنترنت لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية؟ وبلغت عينة الدراسة (300) طالب وطالبة من الصف الأول والثاني الثانوي واعتمد فيها على المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، وكانت أدوات الدراسة عبارة عن مقياس تقدير الذات (إعداد الباحثة)، ومقياس إدمان الإنترنت (إعداد الباحثة) وثم صياغة فرضيات الدراسة على النحو التالي 1- لا توجد علاقة ارتباطية دالة إحصائيا بين درجات طلاب المرحلة الثانوية على مقياس تقدير الذات ودرجاتهم على مقياس إدمان الإنترنت. 2- لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطي درجات مدمني الإنترنت من طلاب المرحلة الثانوية على مقياس تقدير الذات تعزي لمتغير النوع (ذكور/ إناث). وتم اختبار الفرضيات باستخدام نظام (Spss)، وأسفرت النتائج على أنه توجد علاقة ارتباطية موجبة (طردية) دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى دلالة (0.01) بين درجات طلاب المرحلة الثانوية على مقياس تقدير الذات ودرجاتهم على مقياس إدمان الإنترنت". وأيضا لا تختلف درجات مدمني الإنترنت من طلاب المرحلة الثانوية على مقياس تقدير الذات وفقاً لاختلاف النوع (ذكور/ إناث).
