The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the use of second-generation web applications for achievement and decision-making skills for high school students in the computer course, and the most important of these goals can be mentioned as follows - Learning about the impact of using the Web 2.0 applications on the academic achievement of high school students in the computer course. - Knowing the effect of using the Web 2.0 applications on the decision-making skills of high school students in the computer course. To achieve these goals, the current study relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and the questionnaire was taken to collect data from the members of the study sample. The study sample will be from a random sample of (200) students from high school students in Riyadh who study during the second semester of the academic year (1440 AH – 1441 AH) The study concluded that the responses of the study members about the effect of using the second-generation web (web2) applications on the academic achievement of high school students in the computer course with an average score of (3.92) and with an approval rate of (78.4) which indicates approval with a standard deviation (0.86), which is average falls in the fourth category of five-tier grades, and the effect of the use of second-generation web 2 applications on academic achievement for high school students in the computer-based unit that relying on web tools 2 facilities the process of obtaining information, and that the use of web 2 in achievement.
