The current study aimed at assessing punctuation errors in writing among the primary stage pupils. It addressed the following questions: 1- What is the frequency of full stop errors committed by the sixth primary pupils? 2- What is the frequency of question mark errors committed by the sixth primary pupils? To meet the objectives of the study, an EFL writing test was administered and applied for a sample of (28) primary six pupils at Al Hadeetha primary school in the school year (2017/ 2018). The data was analyzed statistically by identifying the frequency and calculating the percentage of errors. The results of the study reported that these particular EFL pupils have serious problems in using full stops and question marks. |
