|a المرحلة الجامعية تتميز بخصائص مهمة وحساسة في النظام التعليمي في الدولة، فهي تمثل قمة الهرم التعليمي التي تكون عندها الطالبة قد تلقت قدر كافي من المعارف والعلوم مما يفتح مداركها ويوسع آفاقها نحو بناء توجهاتها الفكرية والثقافية والمعرفية. ومن الناحية البيولوجية فإن الطالبة الجامعية يفترض أنها في مرحلة النضج العقلي والنفسي مما يجعلها مهيأة تماما لاستقبال الأفكار والتوجهات لبناء شخصيتها المستقلة. وتبعا لذلك تتعاظم مسؤوليات ومهام عضوة هيئة التدريس الذي يقع على عاتقها عبء استغلال وتوجيه هذه الطاقات الشبابية المتوثبة إلى نيل العلم والمعرفة. وفي هذا الزمان الذي تفاقمت فيه التحديات التي تستهدف الفكر لدى الشباب والطلاب تأتي أهمية دور عضوة هيئة التدريس في بناء وتعزيز الوعي الفكري بوصفها صاحبة الرسالة التعليمية والتربوية وأحد النخب الواعية المشبعة بالعلم والمعرفة والخبرة، فيتوجب عليها أتباع الأساليب الحديثة في التوجيه والإرشاد بجانب المواد العلمية والأكاديمية، كما يجب أن يمتد هذا الدور إلى المجتمع والدولة.

|b The university stage is destinguished by important and sensitive characteristics in the educational system in countries, as it represents the top of the educational pyramid at which the student receives sufficient knowledge and sciences, which open their perceptions and broadens their horizons toward building their intellectual, cultural, and cognitive orientations. Naturally, and physically, the university student is supposed to be in the stage of mental and psychological maturity, which makes them fully equipped to receive ideas and trends to build their independent personality. Accordingly, the responsibilities and tasks of the faculty member who bears the burden of exploiting and directing these brilliant youth energies to acquire knowledge and sciences. In our recent era, as so many challenges that target thought among youths and students have been exacerbated, the importance of the role of the teaching member in building and strengthening intellectual awareness among youths is rising increasingly. That is because they are considered as the educational and cultural directors and one of the conscious elites saturated with knowledge, wisdome and experience. Therefore, they have to follow modern methods of guidance and counselingm in addition to scientific and academic subjects. This role must also extend to society and the state.
