المستخلص: تستهدف الدراسة تطوير دور جامعة نجران في مجال خدمة المجتمع، ومن ثم يقوم الباحث من خلال استخدام المنهج الوصفي بجمع الأدبيات والدراسات السابقة المتعلقة بموضوع الدراسة، وبناء استبانة للكشف عن دور جامعة نجران في خدمة المجتمع، وتوجه الاستبانة لأعضاء هيئة التدريس بالجامعة للكشف عن مشاركاتهم المجتمعية ومعوقات التنفيذ، وفي ضوء ما سوف تسفر عنه نتائج الدراسة جاء متوسط استجابات عينة الدراسة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس حول تطبيق مجالات خدمة المجتمع وفق محاور الدراسة الميدانية بدرجة (1099) محايد، لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أعضاء هيئة التدريس وفقا لمتغير النوع، لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أعضاء هيئة التدريس وفقا لمتغير القيادة حول جميع محاور الاستبيان ما عدا محور (متطلبات تفعيل الشراكة)، لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أعضاء هيئة التدريس وفقا لمتغير الجنسية حول جميع محاور الاستبيان ما عدا محور (التعليم المستمر)، لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أعضاء هيئة التدريس وفقا لمتغير الكلية حول جميع محاور الاستبيان ماعدا محاور (التأهيل والتدريب، التعليم المستمر، الاستبانة ككل)، لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أعضاء هيئة التدريس وفقا لمتغير سنوات الخبرة حول جميع محاور الاستبيان، لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أعضاء هيئة التدريس وفقا لمتغير الوظيفة حول جميع محاور الاستبيان ما عدا محاور (البحث العلمي، الاستشارات الفنية والأكاديمية، متطلبات تفعيل الشراكة، الاستبيان ككل).

There are no statistically significant differences between the responses of the faculty members according to the nationality variable on all aspects of the questionnaire except for the continuous education axis There are no statistically significant differences between the responses of faculty members according to the faculty variable about all aspects of the questionnaire except for the axes (qualification, training, education The questionnaire will continue, as a whole). There are no statistically significant differences between the responses of the faculty members according to the years of experience variable on all the questionnaire axes.
