The present study aimed at developing verbal interaction skills for the Basic Education English language student teachers through a suggested framework based on Possibility Thinking model (PTM). So, a group of 24 student teachers were randomly selected from third year EFL student teachers (Basic Education Section), Faculty of Education, Helwan University and assigned as one treatment group. The verbal interaction skills needed for the third year EFL student teachers were determined through the use of a verbal interaction skills checklist confirmed by a jury of specialists in teaching English. Based on these skills, a knowledge test and a scoring rubric were developed and used as pre and post assessment instruments. The suggested framework was designed by the researcher to develop the treatment group verbal interaction skills. The hypotheses of the study were verified and there was evidence that the suggested framework was effective in developing EFL student teachers` verbal interaction skills .So, using the PTM was recommended for developing verbal interaction skills and their evaluation through a scoring rubric should be a good part of the EFL student teachers` practicum evaluation.
