This study aims to identify the impact of applying comprehensive quality standards on the contextual performance of workers in Jordanian public universities in the Central Region, (the University of Jordan and Al-Balqa Applied University / Center and the Hashemite University) by identifying the extent of application of comprehensive quality standards and the level of contextual performance in Jordanian public universities. In the central region, and explaining the impact of demographic variables on the contextual performance of these universities. The study tool was designed and developed and distributed to a sample of 123 faculty members, with 41 questionnaires for each university suitable for analysis. Descriptive statistical methods, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, T-test and single-factor variance analysis were used. The results showed that the level of total quality management in Jordanian public universities in the central region is large, and the level of both organizational citizenship, organizational commitment and overall contextual performance in Jordanian public universities in the central region is widely available. And that there is an effect of the overall level and of all dimensions of total quality management on the contextual performance of workers in public universities in the central region. The study recommended the necessity of emphasizing on universities to continue improving the process of total quality management in general in Jordanian universities, as the process of total quality management in universities is a continuous, permanent and changing process according to the changes in the administrative environment. The study also recommended the necessity of distinguishing between the comprehensive quality and the standards of quality and assurance of education issued by the Ministry of Higher Education. Total quality management is in itself a management philosophy. The study also recommended the necessity of adopting the study model in focusing on contextual performance as an administrative approach through which one can reach the best job and institutional performance in public universities in particular and Jordanian universities in general and achieve their goals.
