Abstract: Teacher-student writing conferences are individual conversations about the students’ writing or writing process. This study aims to investigate and shed some light on first-year students' attitudes towards writing conferencing in EFL writing productions. It attempts to demonstrate that conferencing with students can help them improve their writing abilities. To this end, data was collected through a perception questionnaire that was handed to a randomly selected sample of 15 first-year students at the department of English in the Ecole Normale Supérieure -Assia Djebar- de Constantine. The data analyses were descriptive. Results demonstrated that the writing conference is an effective technique to improve students’ writing.
