المستخلص: This study has been conducted to investigate the conceptions of culture and its implications on both language attitude and self-concepts. Cutting across the world of 'self-concepts' and peering at the fields of L2 learners- teachers‟ schemata in harmony, we have staked out a very large scope of research. Our discussion in general and so, has lead us inevitably to the dilemma of discrete elements in psycho-cultural streams. As a matter of fact, intercultural literacy helps students understand the "self" in regards to the "other". They ought to understand that their existence is predicated upon, interrelated to and constituted in fundamental ways by "others". Indeed, the process of "self" and "other" representation in communication occurs in both our communication with people from other countries (intercultural) and people within our country (intercultural)who differ in races, ethnic group and social class. In both cases stereotypes and prejudices lead to in effective communication.
