The present study aimed at exploring ESP teachers’ and learners’ perspectives in using mobile devices as instructional and assistant tools in their practices. The researcher administered a questionnaire and organized a semi-structured interview to 40 business students and 12 ESP teachers, respectively. The findings revealed that most if not all participants (N=39) are positive to using their mobile devices, smartphones in particular, in their learning. Similarly, teachers showed acceptance to their use, yet they highlighted that they cannot control students’ mobile usage especially when the devices is connected to the network. They also recommended training and assistance as most of them (N=08) are digital immigrants. |
