المستخلص: يُقصد بالمدلول الثقافي تلك الوحدة أو الوحدات اللغوية التي تشير إلى معلومات ثقافية تخص اللغة المصدر ويُراد نقلها إلى ثقافة اللغة الهدف. وتلعب الترجمة دورًا مهما في تفسير هذا المدلول الثقافي وكشف غموضه. لذلك يجب على المترجم التعمق في ثقافة اللغة المصدر كي ينأى بنفسه عن تشويه الترجمة وبالتالي تشويه الثقافة والحضارة التي ينقل عنها، لأنه قد يتطرق إلى موضوعات لا تدخل بالضرورة ضمن مجال اختصاصه أو اهتمامه. ونهدف من خلال هذا البحث إلى تحليل ونقد ترجمة المدلول الثقافي للتعبيرات الاصطلاحية والألفاظ المحلية إلى اللغة الهدف في رواية "فخاخ الرائحة" ليوسف المحيميد، 2003، و"امرأتان" لهناء حجازي، 2015، مع اقتراح ترجمة بديلة أن لزم الأمر بغية تحسين الترجمة وتجويدها، مع تبيان أساليب الترجمة المستخدمة في نقل هذا المدلول الثقافي إلى اللغة الهدف، مستلهمين في ذلك بالإطار النظري لبيتر نيومارك Peter Newmark (۱۹۸۱ و۱۹۸۸) وفيناي ودار بلنيه Vinay et Darbelnet (١٩٥٨). ويمكننا القول إن دراسة ترجمة المعنى الثقافي في الروايتين إلى اللغة الفرنسية ستتيح لنا التعرف على شكل الحياة الاجتماعية في المملكة العربية السعودية وتطورها.

The cultural referent refers to the linguistic unit (s) that refer to cultural information related to the source language and is intended to be transferred to the culture of the target language. Translation plays an important role in the interpretation of this cultural referent and in revealing its ambiguity. Therefore, the translator must deepen his knowledge of the culture of the source language to avoid distorting the translation and thus distorting the culture and civilization from which he is translating, since he can address topics that do not necessarily fall under its area of expertise. We aim, in this research, to analyze and criticize the translation of the cultural meaning of idiomatic expressions and local words into the target language in the novel Smell Traps by Youssef Al-Muhaimeed, 2003, and Two women by Hanaa Hijazi, 2015, while proposing an alternative translation, if necessary, to improve the translation. We will draw inspiration from the theoretical framework of Peter Newmark (1981, 1988) and Vinay and Darbelnet (1958). We can say that studying the translation of the cultural meaning in the two novels into French will allow us to learn about the social life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its development.

Le référent culturel désigne la ou les unités linguistiques qui font référence à des informations culturelles liées à la langue source et sont destinées à être transférées à la culture de la langue cible. La traduction joue un rôle important dans l’interprétation de cette signification culturelle et dans la révélation de son ambiguïté. Par conséquent, le traducteur doit approfondir la culture de la langue source afin d'éviter de déformer la traduction et ainsi de déformer la culture et la civilisation à partir de laquelle il transmet, car il peut aborder des sujets qui ne relèvent pas nécessairement de son domaine de compétence ou d'intérêt. À travers cette recherche, nous visons à analyser et critiquer la traduction du référent culturel des expressions idiomatiques et des mots locaux dans la langue cible dans le roman «Loin de cet enfer» de Youssef Al-Muhaimeed, 2003, et «Deux femmes de Djeddah» de Hanaa Hijazi, 2015, tout en proposant une traduction alternative si nécessaire afin de l'améliorer, tout en expliquant les méthodes de traduction utilisées pour transférer ce sens culturel à la langue cible, inspirées du cadre théorique de Peter Newmark (1981, 1988) et Vinay et Darbelnet (1958). L'étude de la traduction en français du référent culturel des deux romans nous a permis de connaître la forme et le développement de la vie sociale dans le Royaume d'Arabie Saoudite.
