This study investigated the effectiveness of a blended learning program for developing phonological awareness skills in English as a Foreign Language for primary school students. The study begins by introducing the theatrical framework within which phonological awareness can be defined and aspects and skills of phonological awareness in general. The proposed program was developed and implemented with third-year primary learners in a primary school in Ismailia, Egypt. A pilot study was designed to pave the way for the study program to be developed and tested. A pre-test and a post-test were administered to assess the effectiveness of the above program together with the overall achievement by the experimental group in the study. The results obtained indicate that the program designed was effective and major findings were discussed where the main points were presented and analyzed. Some conclusions were drawn together with recommendations for further research.
