المستخلص: This study aimed at identifying the problems encountered in teaching practice at Minia Faculty of Education and suggesting a framework for improving EFL student -teachers' performance. The sample of the study was 272 male and female EFL students enrolled at the fourth year (senior) at the Faculty of Education at Minia Universality. For the purpose of data collection, the researcher used a questionnaire in addition to interviewing university student-teaching supervisors and host school supervisors. The study tried to answer three questions: (a) What are the school principal related -problems of student -teaching?, (b) What are the site supervisor related -problems of student -teaching?, and (c) What are the university supervisor- related problems of student -teaching? Z-test was used to analyze the data. The results showed that student teachers encounter at least 43 problems related to university supervisor, school principal, and site supervisor. Conclusions and important implications for understanding current problems faced by EFL student teachers as they are placed in Egyptian schools for the purposes of their practicum experience were discussed. Recommendations , and suggestions for further research were presented. A suggested theoretical student-teaching framework was also attached.
