هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تعرف واقع دور الإعلام التربوي في مدراس مديريات التربية والتعليم في محافظة العاصمة في الأردن وكذلك دوره المأمول في تفعيل العمل المدرسي ومعيقاته. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (200) مدير ومديرة أي ما نسبته (43%) من مجتمع الدراسة، تم اختيارهم بالطريقة الطبقية العشوائية. قام الباحثان بتطوير استبانة الدراسة اعتمادا على الأدب التربوي والدراسات السابقة ذات الصلة بموضوع الدراسة الحالية، وقد تكونت الدراسة في صورتها النهائية من (38) فقرة، وتم التحقق من صدقها بعرضها على محكمين أما الثبات فتم بإعادة الاختبار. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن دور الإعلام التربوي الحالي كان بشكل عام متوسطا. كما أن دور الإعلام التربوي المأمول كان بشكل عام مرتفعا، وأن معوقات الإعلام التربوي كانت بشكل عام مرتفعة، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى في دور الإعلام التربوي الحالي، والمأمول، وكذلك المعوقات تبعا لمتغير الجنس لصالح الإناث، وتبعا لمتغير مستوى المدرسة لصالح مستوى مدارس المرحلة الأساسية، وتبعا لمتغير نوع فئة الطلبة الملتحقين بالمدرسة ولصالح الطلبة المعاقين، وتبعاً لمتغير سنوات الخدمة ولصالح فئة أكثر من عشر سنوات.
The Roles of the current and promising Educational Media and their obstacles in activating the school work from the points of view of headmasters and head mistresses of Amman schools. The aim of this study is to identify the current and the promising roles of the educational media in activating the school work and their obstacles from the points of view of the headmasters and headmistresses in Amman schools. The participants of the study consisted of (200) headmasters or headmistresses of Amman schools of about (43%) of the population of the study and they were randomly selected. The researchers developed a questionnaire depending on the literary reviews with regard to study's subject. The questionnaire consisted of (38) item. The researchers validate the instrument by group of specialists while the reliability of the instrument was checked by Re-test. The results revealed, the current role of the educational media was intermediate but the promising role of the educational media was high. The obstacles of the educational media were high in general. There were statistically significant differences at (a=0.05)level in the current and the promising roles of the educational media, also to the obstacles according to gender variable for females. There were statistically differences at (a=0.05) level in the current and the promising of the educational medie, also to the obstacles according to the school level variable for basic stage schools. According to the type of the students enrolled in the school variable for the handicapped students. According to the years of employment variable for more than 10 years in employment. \
