المستخلص: This study aimed at exploring the effectiveness of a training program in reducing anxiety and improving perceived sel - efficacy and school achievement among adolescents parental care in Jordan. \ The sample study comprised (60) male and female students equal in number and come from Higaz Private school in amman. They are at their secondary level for the scholastic year 2010/ 2011, and they scored high on the anxiety test, but scored low on the perceived self - efficacy test. They are low achievers who were distributed into equally - sized groups: an experimental group that underwent a 15 - session training program on a three - session weekly basis with each session lasting for 75 minutes. \ A control group that received lectures not related to the training program. Study tools were applied to both groups before and after completing the training program and after a follow - up period that lasted for four weeks after the completion of the program. \ Results show that there were significant statistical differences at ( = 0.05) between the control and experimental groups in post measurement test and in follow - up on study tools. This indicates the effectiveness of a long- run training program in reducing anxiety and improving perceived self- efficacy and academic achievement. \ Results also show that there is no effect of interaction between gender and the training program as seen in students scores with reference to there variables in the test.
