This study provides an overview of reciprocal teaching as an approach to improve strategic reading and reading comprehension skills of College of Education English majors. Sample for the study comprised sixty- six EFL students who were divided into control group (36) and experimental group (30). The study tools consisted of a Strategic Reading Questionnaire (SRQ), a Strategic Reading Interview (SRI), a Strategic Reading Checklist (SRC) with think- aloud Protocol, and a Reading Comprehension Test (RCT). The t- test was used to analyze the study sample's scores and to compare their responses on pre- and post- test Results indicated the effectiveness of the reciprocal teaching technique in improving College of Education English majors' strategic reading and reading comprehension skills.
