520 |b The aim of the present study is to investigate the effectiveness of using weblogs in developing the writing skills of EFL' prospective teachers. the problem of this study was identified in the low level of writing skills among third-year students of English Department in Port-Said Faculty of Education. The study adopted the quasi- experimental design. The subjects of this study were thirty participants who were selected at random from the .English department in Port-Said Faculty of Education. They were divided into two groups (control and experimental). To determine the most required writing skills to be developed throughout the program, a questionnaire, containing a list of writing skills was designed and approved by a panel of jury members. Base on the selected skills, the researcher designed a pre-post writing skills test that was approved by the jury members. Then, a process-oriented writing program based on weblogs was developed. The results of administering the pre-post writing skills test showed that there were statistically significant differences. at 0.0001 level between the mean scores of the control and experimental groups on the post-test in favor of the latter in overall writing as well as in each writing sub- skill. The findings of the present study revealed that the proposed program improved the students' writing skills more than those of the control group.
