Mainly the study aimed at investigating and enhancing the awareness of the teachers who are involved in teaching ESP (English for Specific Purposes) at Vocational Institutes in Misurata. Besides, it investigates the problems that hinder the teaching of ESP. Research findings revealed that because of lack of experience and awareness of ESP teaching, these teachers deal with the text book as a General English (GE) not as an ESP course. The subject of the study was the Third Year Classes in Misurata Vocational Institutes where fifteen (15) teachers subjected to a classroom observation.
