المستخلص: In this article, we have attempted to define, before diagnosing the multiple angles, the movement of open access to scientific research. Referring first open archives or the "green way", we turned our attention to the problem of choosing the type deposits set up (institutional or disciplinary) and rights issues related to self archiving before finally asking if there was one or economic models that underpinned the "green way". Regarding the 'Gold', ie scientific journals online, we have tried to type them and characterize before studying the main economic models that underpin them, and the evolution and diversity of scientific assessment requirements of articles they publish, and quality themselves.
