المستخلص: يهدف البحث الحالي إلى التعرف على نمط التعلق الوالدى السائد وطبيعة العلاقة بين نمط التعلق ومستوى التعاطف فى ضوء متغير النوع (ذكور – إناث) لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الاعدادية، الكشف عن الفروق بين الذكور والإناث في نمط التعلق ومستوى التعاطف، وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من (300) تلميذ وتلميذة بواقع (150) ذكور و(150) إناث في مرحلة المراهقة المبكرة، وقد اعتمدت الباحثة في جمع البيانات على مقياس التعلق الوالدي (للأم) ومقياس التعاطف وهما من ترجمة الباحثة وقد كشفت الدراسة عن النتائج التالية:
1- أن نمط التعلق الأمن هو نمط التعلق الوالدي (للأم) السائد لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية.
2- أنه لا توجد فروق بين الذكور والإناث في نمط التعلق (الأمن – التجنبي) بينما توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً في نمط التعلق (المقاوم/ القلق) في اتجاه الإناث.
3- وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً في مستوى التعاطف بين الذكور والإناث لصالح الإناث.
4- إنه لا توجد علاقة بين نمط التعلق ومستوى التعاطف في ضوء متغير الجنس.


The current research aims to identify the prevailing parent attachment pattern and the nature of the relationship between the attachment pattern and the level of empathy in light of the gender variable (male-female) among the middle school students, to reveal the differences between males and females in the pattern of attachment and the level of empathy. The sample of the study consisted of (300) male and female students, 150 male and 150 female students of early adolescence. The researcher used the scale of parental attachment (for mother) and scale of compassion while collecting the data, which are related to the researcher. The study revealed the following findings:
1. The pattern of secure attachment is the parent attachment pattern (for mother) prevailing students of among middle school.
2. There are no differences between males and females in the attachment pattern (security - avoidant) while there are statistically significant differences in the attachment pattern (resistance/anxiety) in the trend of females.
3. There are statistically significant differences in the level of empathy between males and females in favour of females.
4. There's no correlation between the attachment pattern and the level of empathy in the light of the gender variable.
