استهدفت الدراسة تعرف فاعلية نموذج سوم (SWOM) في تنمية مهارات حل المشكلات والتفكير الإيجابي لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية في مادة الدراسات الاجتماعية، حيث تم تحديد مشكلة الدراسة الحالية في ضعف مهارات حل المشكلات لدى تلاميذ الصف الثاني الإعدادي، وهذا حذا بالباحثة للتفكير في تجريب نموذج سوم في تدريس مادة الدراسات الاجتماعية؛ لتنمية كل من مهارات حل المشكلات والتفكير الإيجابي لدى تلاميذ هذه المرحلة، حيث اتضح للباحثة انخفاض مستوى التفكير الإيجابي لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية والذي انعكس بشكل سلبي على مستوى أدائهم لحل المشكلات الموجودة بمقرر الدراسات الاجتماعية، وما يتطلبه ذلك منهم من التمكن من بعض مهارات التفكير، كالنقد، وإدراك العلاقات، والاستنتاج، والتنبؤ، واتخاذ القرار؛ مما جعل هناك ضرورة لاستخدام نموذج سوم لتنمية مهارات حل المشكلات والتفكير الإيجابي لتلاميذ الصف الثاني الإعدادي. وتمحورت مشكلة الدراسة الحالية في السؤال الرئيس التالي: "كيف يمكن تنمية مهارات حل المشكلات والتفكير الإيجابي لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية في مادة الدراسات الاجتماعية باستخدام نموذج سوم (SWOM)؟. وقد اعتمدت الباحثة على المنهج شبه التجريبي، وتمثلت أدوات البحث في اختبار مهارات حل المشكلات، ومقياس التفكير الإيجابي، وكشفت نتائج الدراسة عن فاعلية استخدام نموذج سوم في تنمية مهارات حل المشكلات والتفكير الإيجابي لدى تلاميذ الصف الثاني الإعدادي في مادة الدراسات الاجتماعية.
The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of using SWOM model in developing problem solving skills and positive thinking among preparatory school students in social studies. The problem of the current study was identified in the weakness of the problem solving skills of second grade students of the preparatory stage. This directed the researcher to think about experimenting with a SWOM model in teaching social studies to develop both problem solving skills and positive thinking among the students of this stage. The researcher found the low level of positive thinking among the students in the preparatory stage, Social studies, and the required skills of thinking such as criticism, cognition, reasoning, prediction, and decision-making. This necessitates the need to use a SWOM model to develop problem-solving skills and positive thinking for second-grade students. The problem of the current study was centered on the following main question: "How can the problem-solving and positive thinking skills of the preparatory school students be developed in social studies using the SWOM model? The researcher used the semi-experimental approach. The research tools were the problem-solving skills test and the positive thinking scale. The results of the study revealed the effectiveness of using the SWOM model in developing problem solving skills and positive thinking among second grade students in social studies.
