The teaching / learning of oral production has always preoccupied the academic community in Algeria. Indeed, the teachers ensuring the subject of comprehension and oral production try to reflect on the content as well as to propose the best methods to ensure the teaching of this subject. For this, they try to make a suitable program with the needs of their students. Moreover, in the context of foreign language didactics, the teaching of oral production has evolved from behaviorism to the action approach, via audio-visual methods, the communicative approach and the approach by skills. Teachers continue to reflect on methods of teaching oral production for French as a Foreign Language (FFL) learners in order to instill linguistic skills in the service of the communicative skills that allow students to integrate into social life. Thus, didactics encourage teachers to enroll their students in the action approach which the CEFR advocates for teaching / learning languages. Our problematic is the study of the activity of the report as an activity that would help 3rd year license students in their oral production. We will try to verify the importance of this activity and its role in the motivation of these activities. The sample consisted of 3rd year license students at the University of Saida. We asked them to choose current topics that might interest them and interest their classmates. Then we proposed to them a duration of realization for their projects. Meanwhile, we exposed them to storytelling models by explaining the process of making it. The day of the presentation, the results were very interesting from the moment we noticed that there was a progress in the majority of students’ oral production. We will try through our communication to highlight the importance of reporting for young students and the impact of this activity on the improvement of their written production. |
